This is a periodic table of the elements — but every atom on it has an origin story. Hydrogen and helium formed within minutes of the Big Bang. Nearly everything heavier was forged later, inside stars: ordinary fusion built up carbon through iron across a star's lifetime, while the most violent events in the universe — supernovae and colliding neutron stars — scattered the rest, gold and platinum and uranium among them, across the galaxy in brief, extreme bursts. Each element here is a fossil of a different generation of stars.
Every element plays a distinct, synthesized note — nothing is a recording. Pitch comes from the atomic number (chromatic, wrapping every 12 elements); octave comes from the period, so heavier rows sit lower. Chord shape and waveform are both drawn from the category: alkali metals ring out as a single bare tone, noble gases as a full closed major-seventh chord, halogens as a tight dissonant cluster — each voicing a rough analogy to that group's chemical character.
